Open for SUBMISSIONS (by email only) -- stories accepted for review NOW, from 6/28 through 8/15...
Do you have an inspiring or surprising story that could be told at our next Flathead Story Concert in Kalispell?
We believe everyone has a story worth telling. At each of our free community events, 6 local Tellers share their true personal experience or fiction stories with neighbors, family, friends and story fans!
Flathead Story Concerts are curated and themed live storytelling events (not open mics).
We're now seeking 4 more Tellers (out of 6 total) to share their stories on Tuesday September 17th with us at Sacred Waters Brewing in Kalispell (stories from 6:00-7:30pm; doors open at 5:30pm).
Submission deadline for 9/17 event consideration is midnight Thursday 8/15.
There is no fee to submit your story. All Tellers and Hosts are volunteers for these free community events.
We hope you will join us on 9/17 as a Teller or as a Listener -- Feel free to invite your story-fan friends!

If you have a true personal experience or a short fiction story that you can share live -- 6-8 minutes tell-time (900-1200 words); no need to memorize, OK to tell it from notes -- let us consider it for our 9/17 event!
Submitted stories should fit one of our 2024 FSC themes: "All in the Family" or "Firsts and Lasts."
But if you have a great story with a different theme, call us to discuss -- we may invite it as a "Wild Card"...

Or phone FSC Curators/Hosts Barbara & Glenn Schiffman at 747-238-0038 to discuss your story and how to submit it for consideration (via email: story23fvcc@gmail.com).
All stories shared are submitted in advance for review by curators Glenn & Barbara Schiffman. We consider stories in the order received and invite stories that fit for us until all 6 story-spots are full. We hope yours might be one of them!

Inspired by "The Moth Radio Hour," PBS-TV's "Stories from the Stage," and spoken word events in Missoula, Los Angeles and Spokane, Glenn & Barb hosted four story concerts In 2023 and spring 2024 at FVCC and Sacred Waters Brewing. At each event, 6-8 Tellers shared their stories with between 60 and 120 Listeners!
According to host+curator Glenn Schiffman, "Some of our most memorable 2023 stories were from non-writer Flathead residents who bravely shared their personal experiences live with friends, family and story fans!"
FSC Sponsors include Authors of the Flathead, The Bookshelf in Kalispell, Sacred Waters Brewing, and other local supporters.
